The Sacred Gathering
Kumbh Mela is one of the largest peaceful gatherings in the world, where Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred or holy river. The festival is held every 12 years at each of four riverbank pilgrimage sites.
Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, this magnificent festival represents not just a religious congregation but also a celebration of tradition, spirituality, and cultural heritage.
The next Kumbh Mela will be held in 2027 at Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela (Maharashtra).
